Taverna Mythos in Mosbach

Very tasty food to pick up! A real bright spot in these difficult times!

A true pleasure

I often visit Mosbach and the favorite restaurant for me and my wife, of course, is “Mythos”! Convenient location, always delicious cuisine, sometimes the chef Christo can make something special for you (even something that is not on the menu) and it is always great to taste! I recommend to all visitors of Mosbach!

Super delicious food and the service very friendly and attentive

There were two of us there today for lunch and were "led" to our table very brusquely and unfriendly by the male waitress, who made a very annoyed impression. After we were seated, the menu and the corona-related registration form were simply opened with the words "Have you seen the lunch menu?" randomly placed anywhere on the table. After the order, the drinks and cutlery were also wordlessly draped somewhere on the table. The food itself was ok, but nothing more and we wouldn't order it at this price. Mainly due to the fact that the hair in the side salad only elicited an "oh" from the male waitress. The salad was replaced without comment, but the little word "sorry" was missing at this point. The female waitress wished us a good appetite after 5 minutes of eating and was much more friendly and attentive, which was the only reason to tip. We then ignored another unwanted "ingredient" in the food (a piece of wood) without comment, it only meant that we will not visit this restaurant in the future and will certainly not recommend it to others when asked due to all the facts described above .

It was the third time in 2 years that we were guests in the Taverna Mythos - and with absolute certainty for the last time. When I read the reviews on the internet, the bad ones absolutely match my experience and the good ones seem to have been in a different place. 3 x inferior food at astronomical prices and very unfriendly service. We were always there with friends who were regular guests and apparently have no problem getting little value for money. On the first visit we accepted it without complaint because we were invited, but the second time I ordered grilled octopus as the main course. I was served a lonely arm, about 18 cm long, on an admittedly nicely arranged plate. At the thickest point it had the strength of a child's finger, which tapered to a Mime pen. A mini jar filled with plain parboiled rice, mixed with some peas and corn - completely unseasoned and tasteless. Before the waitress could put the plate down in front of me, I noticed that it couldn't be. The plate was brought back to me very quickly and the little arm got a little brother, with the note in the kitchen an accident happened. Even now, the amount corresponded to just one starter at a price of around € 20. But the crowning glory was the actual starter: the host had ordered a mixed starter platter for everyone present (9 people) - a platter with two small balls of tzatziki, eggplant puree, taramosalata and some olives came. The amount would have been fine for two people, a 2-digit euro amount PER PERSON was calculated !!!!!! A few days ago, on our last visit (we were invited again), we thankfully refrained from eating and only drank something. As was expected of us, what was served to our friends was again outrageous. In addition, ordered drinks were not brought in and when we tried to order coffee, we were told that the machine had already been switched off. A quarter of an hour later, however, guests were still served coffee at the neighboring table. For us it was ultimately the last visit to the Taverna Mythos!

Small card but something for everyone. Very attentive service. The food was very, very tasty and fresh. Nicely done. Was a real experience!

Service is different - too bad, there were 2 people outside, we were rather brusquely and unfriendly to the sign with the lunch break that we had overlooked first ... there are really lovely and absolutely lovely restaurants in Mosbach but we will definitely not go here again there.

The food (we had gyros and baby calamari) about the quality and freshness of which we were praised by the waiter, did not even turn out to be mediocre. The meat was tough and gristly and the potatoes were dry and hard. The waiter said that our criticism must be passed on to his butcher. He got the meat fresh today! I wonder if the butcher also prepares the dishes? That being said, the portions are absolutely clear. We were definitely the first and last time here.

I've been there so many times and I have to say it was great every time. Super nice service. The food was a pleasure. It is my absolute favorite Greek.

Top restaurant with excellent service. The high quality of the dishes and their excellent preparation show that there is more to the Greek than just gyros. The attentive service cannot be praised too much. Gladly again.

I am always a guest there and have always been very satisfied. Either on Saturday mornings for relaxation or in the evenings when the weather is great. Simply wonderful ambience in the middle of the old town. The service is very nice and the food tastes great. Yesterday the daily recommendation (outside the menu) was a watermelon salad with white cheese. Tastes super delicious. Clear recommendation from me!
